Jean-Nicolas Malek is Vice President of Information Technology at Norda Stelo. He leads the team responsible for information systems as well as the development of specialized software solutions, including Stelar.
Jean-Nicolas holds a master’s degree in management from HEC Montréal and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the Université de Montréal. He has over 20 years of experience in IT management. He has strong expertise in driving digital transformations and optimizing operations through technology and data analysis.
Known for his strategic vision and collaborative leadership style, Jean-Nicolas mobilizes his teams to maximize the value of technology in supporting organizational growth and performance.
With over 30 years of experience, Ms. Boisvert specializes in material behavior, corrosion, degradation, aging, inspection techniques and maintenance programs. She has carried out a large number of failure analyses and degradation studies. In particular, she acted as Asset Management Manager at the CEZinc plant in Valleyfield and as a Materials Specialist Engineer at the CCR Metallurgical Refinery in Montreal. It is within these two factories, which have existed for 90 and 60 years respectively, that Sophie developed and implemented a program of inspection, integrity and sustainability studies of assets.
In 2014, Sophie joined the ranks of consulting engineering at Norda Stelo and established a group of experts whose objective is to offer clients expertise that helps them maintain the technical reliability, integrity and proper functioning of physical assets (production, infrastructures) in order to maximize their availability and performance, while ensuring regulatory compliance and environmental protection.
Also at Norda Stelo, Ms. Boisvert was appointed Vice President of the Resources and Industry Market in 2018. In 2021, she was appointed Vice President of Norda Stelo Solutions, and leads the development of Stelar.

Mr. Alex Brisson became President and CEO of Norda Stelo in the summer of 2013. He then undertook a major restructuring of the company in order to put in place a more agile and effective organizational structure, while establishing the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
With a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and a master's degree in business administration, Mr. Brisson joined Norda Stelo in 1993. Initially a project manager, he quickly rose through the ranks to the position of senior vice president of the industrial sector in 2003. His career has led him to work on various projects in Canada and abroad.
A member of the board of directors and management of Norda Stelo for several years now, Mr. Brisson is also one of the main shareholders who enabled the acquisition of Norda Stelo in 2005 and led the recent takeover by management in 2019. This has given Norda Stelo and its shareholder-employee group the ability to deploy its strategic plan to become the highly competent, trustworthy and clearly distinctive partner, adding real value to its customers, communities and the planet.
Olivier Brière-Leblanc is a passionate leader with expertise in technology, possessing experience in the development of innovative solutions and the management of multidisciplinary teams. He has held positions in small business management, project management, and cybersecurity. Currently, Olivier is Director of Solution Development, where he leads a team dedicated to technological development, data optimization, and training and support.
Mr. Joël Fortin is a materials engineer with more than 15 years of experience in the industry, including more than 10 years at Norda Stelo. He specializes in evaluating the integrity of materials following the effects of aging, corrosion or incidents. He also specializes in the development and implementation of inspection programs, including risk-based inspection (RBI). Joël has solid knowledge in non-destructive testing, corrosion, wear and mechanical behavior of materials that he acquired through factory and engineering consulting jobs.
Passionate about innovation and new technologies, Jonathan Brodeur holds a PhD (2022) and a master’s degree (2016) in industrial engineering, as well as a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering (2013).
He has accumulated 10 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, consulting, and digital transformation, having managed multiple projects ranging from product development to the implementation of new technologies, as well as the development of innovative programs for the Montréal Industrial Expertise Center and Mila – Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute.
At Norda Stelo since 2023, he leads the Stelar team, which specializes in software development and applied artificial intelligence.
